Curve Lake Task Force members are warning people of suspicious activity in the village after young girls were approached on the weekend by an unknown man in a black truck.  The man asked the girls if they were interested in a career in modelling and offered gifts, money, and expensive clothing.

Anishinabek Police Service (APS) are investigating the matter, anyone with information is asked to contact them at 705-657-8892 or alternatively the OPP at 705-742-0401.

Parents and caregivers should speak with their children and discuss a plan with them on what they would do if they were approached and remind them to be aware of their surroundings, be smart and not talk to strangers. Any suspicious activity should be reported to APS immediately. Children should also be reminded that they should call 911 if they or another person is in immediate danger.

If you see something suspicious report it by contacting the Police or Peterborough Northumberland Crime Stoppers at: 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
