As a result of the community consultation and Chief and Councils’ ongoing assessment of the current situation and on the recommendation of the Lands Department, Council has approved a three-phase resumption plan to welcome back all our seasonal lessee residents. The plan spreads the returning seasonal lessees across the community so no one area is overwhelmed at a given time.

The re-entry phases are as follows:

▪Phase One – Re-entry on July 3rd

▪Phase Two – Re-entry July 10th

▪Phase Three – Re-entry July 17th

PLEASE NOTE – IF THE COMMUNITY SEES AN INDICATION OF A SECOND WAVE, THESE DATES MAY BE ADJUSTED OR YOU MAY BE ASKED TO VACATE THE COMMUNITY AGAIN.

The phases were based on the following criteria:

1.Physical location of property in the Curve Lake

Administration has identified 9 micro-communities or regions within the villagefor the leased properties. Each micro-community will see 1/3 of its seasonalresidents returning in each phase.

2.Where your primary address is and its proximity to Curve Lake.

Those who are closest to the community will return first.

3.File in good standing with Curve Lake First Nation

This will be used as a last resort in cases where two properties may be equalin level one and two above.

Once seasonal residents are back in the community they will be given (2) bright green vehicle identification passes that will get them through the checkpoint. Council has also approved the following rules upon re-entry into the community:COVID-19 RESPONSE

GUIDELINES UPON RE-ENTRY

➢ Entering individuals must not be in self-isolation currently as a result of contact with COVID-19

➢ NO guests outside of immediate family

➢ Bring supplies and groceries

➢ Respect social distancing measures

➢ Acknowledge that individuals may be asked to vacate again if the community sees any indicators of a second wave.

We would like to remind everyone that the safest place is in your own home, without visitors. The fact that our community and the rest of the province is slowly opening up does not mean you must go out. Curve Lake continues to monitor the Flags in windows and to provide supports to those who feel safest at home.
