CURVE LAKE FIRST NATION EXTENDS SHUTDOWN FOR ALL GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

Dear Community,

Today, Chief & Council passed a motion to extend the shutdown of all government buildings until 4:00 P.M. on September 18, 2020 in order to ensure that all health and safety measures are satisfied before staff return to the workplace. The motion is as follows:

COUNCILLOR SEAN CONWAY MOVED AND COUNCILLOR LAURIE HOCKADAY SECONDED TO EXTEND CURVE LAKE FIRST NATION’S COVID-19 CLOSURE OF ALL GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 18, 2020. ALL IN FAVOUR. MOTION CARRIED.

Administration along with Chief & Council are in the process of determining a date for the re-opening of the Oshkiigmong Early Learning Centre and the CLFN School. The health and safety of preschoolers, students and staff remains a top priority. Once a date is established, a notice will be shared with staff and the community.

Best regards,
