Dear Curve Lake Community,

On June 4th, 2020, Chief & Council passed a motion to extend the community shutdown until June 30th, in line with the Province of Ontario. The motion is as follows:

COUNCILLOR SEAN CONWAY MOVED AND COUNCILLOR LAURIE HOCKADAY SECONDED TO APPROVE CURVE LAKE FIRST NATION’S COVID-19 CLOSURE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2020. ALL IN FAVOUR. MOTION CARRIED.

The Declaration of Emergency dated March 23rd, 2020 (https://bit.ly/3ePMHNn) and the Order of the Curve Lake First Nation dated April 3rd, 2020 (https://bit.ly/2XySD7D) are still in effect. All CLFN buildings will remain closed to the public and all programs and events will be suspended until June 30th. Chief & Council are currently working on a resumption plan that will slowly welcome back our seasonal residents, while ensuring the health and well-being of community members, Elders, students and essential staff are considered.
