Dear Members,
On April 23rd, 2020, Chief & Council passed a motion to extend the community shutdown until May 12th in line with the Province of Ontario in a continued effort to combat the spread of COVID-19. The motion is as follows:
COUNCILLOR LAURIE HOCKADAY MOVED AND COUNCILLOR SEAN CONWAY SECONDED TO APPROVE CURVE LAKE FIRST NATION’S COVID-19 CLOSURE UNTIL MAY 12, 2020. ALL IN FAVOUR. MOTION CARRIED.
Due to the continued crisis, Curve Lake First Nation has decided that the Oshkiigmong Early Learning Centre and the CLFN School will remain closed until May 31st as per the Ministry of Education. Our decision was made for the best interest of the children and community of Curve Lake.
Furthermore, all CLFN buildings will remain closed to the public and all programs and events will be suspended until May 12th to protect the health and well-being of community members, Elders, students and essential staff.
Best regards,
