The Curve Lake First Nation Lands Department is offering five spots to interested Curve Lake First Nation members to participate in an online course to learn how to build rain gardens on your property to help improve our water quality in the community.
In this class, you will learn how to design your own rain garden step-by-step over six (6) one hour ONLINE classes on Fridays from 1 pm to 2 pm, starting on March 1st to April 5th, 2019.
You can do this course on our own at home or access to a computer and internet is available.
Rain gardens capture water that runs off of hard surfaces, such as driveways, rooftops and walkways. The garden is designed, and specific plants are selected to allow water to infiltrate back into the soil and remove pollutants from the runoff. Rain gardens are beautiful, and provide homes for butterflies and pollinators.
