We have had a report of possible fungus growing on wild rice in the Tri-Lake area (see photo below). Parks Canada is currently working with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry as well as the Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks to figure out what this fungus may be and what implications this fungus may have.

If you notice any kind of fungus on Manoomin while you are fishing, harvesting or just enjoying the water please report these findings to Kaitlin Hill at KaitlinH@Curvelake.ca. If it is possible please include a location and photo with your email.
