WILLIAMS TREATY DEADLINE AND INFORMATION

Important notice regarding William’s Treaty Per Capita Distribution

As per motion below, to be eligible for the William’s Treaty Settlement members must have been alive and eligible to become a Status Member of Curve Lake First Nation on or before September 13th, 2018. Furthermore, un-registered members MUST apply and have their application received by Indigenous Services Canada (formerly INAC) no later than December 31st, 2019.

It will be the members responsibility to prove that their application was received. When received, Indigenous Services Canada (INAC), will send a letter to the applicant with the date received indicated on the right hand side of the page. Please retain this letter as this will be your proof of application date.

If you know of anyone who has not yet applied to become a member, including minors, please encourage them to apply ASAP.

COUNCILLOR LAURIE HOCKADAY MOVED AND COUNCILLOR TIFFANY TAYLOR SECONDED TO APPROVE MEMBERS THAT ARE ALIVE AND ELIGIBLE BY SEPTEMBER 13, 2018 AND HAVE HAD THEIR APPLICATION RECEIVED BY INDIGENOUS SERVICES CANADA BY DECEMBER 31, 2019 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE CURVE LAKE WILLIAMS TREATIES FIRST NATIONS PER CAPITA DISTRIBUTION WITH NOTICES TO BE PROVIDED TO MEMBERSHIP. ANY FUNDS REMAINING AFTER FINAL DETERMINATION OF ELIGIBLE BENEFICIARIES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO MEMBERSHIP. ALL IN FAVOUR.
